Moonpool Swivels API 6A & API 17D

The swivels are manufactured in high strength alloy steel, stainless steel, duplex steel or low carbon steel. Seal rings have high temperature and high pressure capacity, and very low friction. Together with hardened raceways this gives very low rotation resistance, at rated working pressure effectively enabling the main purpose of the swivels; to relive torsional loads in the hoses and fixed end connections.

Inconel CRA is used in seal ring grooves and may be used on all wetted surfaces, as per service requirements.

The swivels are NACE compliant, as required.

The swivels have type approvals from DNV and ABS.

Notes

  1. Swivels may be supplied with API6A 6B, API6A BX or API17D SS ring grooves

  2. Temperature ratings are -20oC to+121oC or +177oC

  3. The swivels are available in a wide range of materials as F22, 17.4PH, AISI 4130, AISI 4140, AISI 316, Duplex, Super Duplex, etc.

  4. Seal ring grooves have Inconel CRA, and all wetted areas can also be cladded.

  5. The swivels are NACE compliant, as required

  6. Dimensions and weight are indicative

  7. Rotation resistance is given at rated working pressure, there is no stick slip effect
