The Compact Hub swivels are designed for medium and high pressure applications requiring low rotation resistance and light weight for ease of handling. Typically to relive torsion in the BOP control hoses and unscrewing of fittings, incurred during moving of the BOP between well slots.

The swivel is manufactured in high strength stainless steel. Seal rings have high temperature and high pressure capacity, and very low friction. Together with hardened raceways this gives very low rotation resistance at rated working pressure, effectively enabling the main purpose of the swivels; to relive torsional loads in the hoses and fixed end connections.

The swivels have type approval from DNV and ABS.
